1. Introduction

1.1 This Privacy Policy sets out how Father Mag collects and manages your personal information.

1.2 It applies to all your dealings with us, whether through telephone, email or visiting the Father Mag Website.  By dealing with us you agree to the Privacy Policy.

1.3 Father Mag is bound by and complies with the National Privacy Principals set out in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

2. Collection

2.1 Information will be collected by Father Mag. If you want to contact Father Mag, our contact details are on our contact page.

2.2 You are entitled to request a copy of the information collected from you.

2.3 The type of information collected when you become a member of Father Mag includes your name, country of residence, email address password and any other data you provide at sign up or on your profile.

2.4 At your own discretion and timing, you may choose to post additional information including but not limited to your own recipes, articles, blogs, ratings, comments, photographs and videos.  By doing so you consent to Father Mag using that information as described in this Privacy Policy.

2.5 If you send us personal correspondence such as emails or letters, or if other users or third parties send us correspondence about your use of the Website, we may collect that information in a file which can be accessed by Father Mag personnel.  We may also collect comments from others about you in our complaints records.

2.6 Your email address is never displayed to other members or made available throughout the site.  Administrators of the site may contact you using this address.

2.7 If you do not provide the information requested at the sign up page we will not be able to process your application to become a member of Father Mag and you will not be able to access the member only areas of the site.

3. Information which is collected automatically

3.1 We collect and use visitor date contained in server log files.  The information in these log files includes your IP address, your ISP, your web browser, the date and time you visited and the pages you accessed throughout the Father Mag Website.

3.2 We use cookies to store information, such as your personal preferences when you visit the Father Mag Website.  The main purpose of this is to retain your login information when returning rather than requiring you to login each time. Cookies are also used to store visual preferences set by the user.

3.3 We also use third-party advertisements on the Father Mag Website.  Some of these third-parties may use technology such as cookies and web beacons when they advertise on our site, which will also send these advertisers information including your IP address, your ISP, your browser, and in some cases, whether you have Flash installed.  This is generally used for geotargeting purposes (i.e. showing ads relevant to your location) or showing certain ads based on other sites you have visited.

You may be able to access external websites by links on Father Mag.  Those other websites are not subject to the Father Mag’s Terms of Use and Privacy Policy.  Please contact or review those websites directly to ascertain their policies and terms.

8. Changes to the Privacy Policy

Father Mag reserves the right to change the Privacy Policy at any time.  We encourage you to check the Privacy Policy regularly for any changes.

1. Introduction

3. Intellectual Property

3.1 All information, graphics, and other material on the Website is owned or licensed by Father Mag and is protected by Australian and international laws relating to copyright and trade marks.  You must not use any such information in any manner or for any purpose that is unlawful or in any manner which violates any right of Father Mag.  You must not edit or otherwise modify, copy or otherwise reproduce, transmit or otherwise distribute any of the content of the Website except as otherwise authorised by Father Mag.

3.2 If you send content to Father Mag you agree that:

  • (a) Father Mag will determine, at its discretion, whether to publish (or remove from a site) any of your content;

  • (b) you obtained your content in a manner which does not breach any laws or infringe the rights of any person;
  • (c) your content is accurate and reflects actual people and events and you did not digitally alter images or footage in any way to create your content or impersonate any person or entity or falsely state or otherwise misrepresent your affiliation with a  person or entity;
  • (d) your content, your provision of your content to Father Mag and the use by Father Mag of your content, in each case as contemplated in these terms and conditions, does not breach any law (including laws relating to privacy, intellectual property and defamation) or the rights of any person;
  • (e) your content, at the time you send it to Father Mag, contains no virus or other code or material embedded in it which will have a negative impact on Father Mag’s services or Website;
  • (f) your content is not being provided for a commercial purpose (including that you are not soliciting funds or promoting particular goods or services); and
  • (g) you did not forge or attempt to circumvent any site function or code, including but not limited to forging TCP/IP packet headers, forging any part of the header information in any email, attempting to execute malicious code, SQL Injection, circumventing validation, javascript or any other exploits.

Father Mag has measures in place to protect you information and the Website, such as firewalls, monitoring and controlled access to servers and content.

7. Termination

Father Mag reserves the right to terminate your use of the Website and block or prevent future access to and use of the Website without notice and at its sole discretion at any time.

8. Limitation of Liability and Indemnity

8.1 All content on the Website is provided on the basis that persons accessing it are responsible for assessing the accuracy of it and that they rely on it entirely at their own risk.

8.2 Father Mag does not accept any liability for loss or damage (including for any indirect, special, economic or consequential loss or damage) incurred by any person as a result of the use of the Website or reliance on the content of the Website or any other information incorporated into the Website by reference.  This limitation of liability applies regardless of whether the loss or damage was caused by negligence or otherwise and whether or not Father Mag was aware or should have been aware of the possibility of such damage.

8.3 Each person using or accessing any part of the Website indemnifies Father Mag, and each of it directors, officers, employees and agents against any action, claim, loss or expense arising their use of the Website.

9. Governing Law

The Father Mag Terms of Use, Privacy Policy and Website are governed and construed in accordance with the law of New South Wales, Australia.  You  agree that any action at law or in equity arising out of, in connection with or relating to the Terms of Use, Privacy Policy or Website will be determined only in the courts in New South Wales, Australia and you irrevocably and unconditionally submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of those courts.

Father Mag reserves the right to change the Terms of Use at any time.  We encourage you to check the Terms of Use regularly for any changes.

This Site is affiliated with AdThrive, LLC (“AdThrive”) for the purposes of placing advertising on the Site.
