Woman charged in sexual assault on twelve-year-old girl

A Columbia woman was charged Tuesday with the attempted rape of a
twelve-year- old girl, the Irmo
police said.
Patsy M., 38, was arrested Tuesday night and charged
with the assault, which allegedly
occurred when she was living with the child and the girl's father.
She was charged with assault with
intent to commit criminal sexual conduct on a minor.
Irmo police Lt. Don Murphy said the attack occurred Oct. 24 but
wasn't reported by the victim's
father until Friday.
