Frederick Hodges

About the Author

Frederick Hodges is a historian and medical researcher. Through his training as a classicist, his work on human anatomy, and his years of historical research into the history of the Western World's perceptions of the genital mutilation practices of non-Western peoples, Hodges has uncovered evidence for a powerful shift in consciousness in the West in the ways it views the body, children, women, men and the family structure. He has written numerous medical journal and popular journal articles and is a frequent guest speaker at educational, medical and anthropological symposia.
