It isn't normal for small children to have adult sexual desires. They're at risk for sexual involvements that are problematic at best, and often downright dangerous and illegal.

Society hasn't even accepted today's sexualization of childhood, and now we're facing the sexualization of ever younger children. Today, boys are at risk of being thrown out of school and removed from their parents by social services if they exhibit any "inappropriate" sexual behavior. Boys with early puberty are often subjected to endless unwanted therapy and other "help" they didn't ask for.

Boys with early puberty engage in teen risk taking without the experience and maturity a teenager has gained. These boys are at greater risk of suicide, serious accidents due to risk-taking behavior, and of being in trouble with the law. They may risk lifetime placement on sex-offender registries for youthful indiscretions.

Little girls with the sexual desires of an adult can become pregnant. Girls with high androgen levels are usually in the first stages of PCOS, which can be devasting.

Even when it isn't full puberty, high androgen levels drive sexual behavior. Some of the physical signs of androgen hormones are: body odor, pubic hair and armpit hair, acne.
