Kenneth Starr Caught in the Act of Sexually Molesting a Lame Duck

by Clyde Verner

The motive behind Kenneth Starr's report is pure political opportunism. From the beginning, the investigation and report were seen as a chance for the Republicans to recapture the White House. Whether you agree with their goal or not, this is dirty politics, and such methods damage not only the Presidency, but the nation as a whole.

Whatever happens, Mr. Clinton is now approaching the end of his tenure. It is suicidal to let internal political struggles weaken America's leadership role at a time when the world faces a severe financial crisis and political instability.

As Mr. Clinton nears the end of his last term in office, the Republicans might better put their energy towards selecting a strong leader and grooming him for the coming Presidential elections. Apparently finding no one among their ranks worthy, they instead have chosen to amuse themselves by sexually molesting lame ducks.
