YOU DO NOT HAVE TO BE AN ACFC CHAPTER/AFFILIATE TO ATTEND......
You don't want to miss this opportunity to learn from the experts the
valuable skills necessary to run an effective chapter!!!
To make your conference reservations call the ACFC Membership Office
at 1-800-978-DADS.
ACFC CONFERENCE BONUS!
For those conference attendees who are attending the Lobbying Session,
with U.S. Commissioner Bill Harrington; Federal Lobbyist, Stuart Miller;
nationally recognized Children's Rights Expert, Eric Anderson; and a key
Congressional Aide--you are invited, and encouraged, to visit our
multi-organizational office on Capitol Hill, to see the resources that
are available to you and your organization--right in the heart of the action.
Our fully networked offices share state-of-the-art office equipment and
combined resources, with like-minded organizations--enabling the most
cost-efficient representation of each organization's goals--while
exponentially increasing everybody's effectiveness, through mutual
cooperation.
The office also contains the most extensive library available of research
articles and other information on custody, parenting time, domestic
violence, and child support. The library also contains a growing
collection of the "best" and "worst" parenting time and child support
laws in the various states, for lobbyists to use when trying to effect
change in their own state.
Additionally, If you are sure you will be staying over, on Monday, August
3, 1998, please notify us as soon as possible, so we can try to arrange
to have Bill Harrington, Stuart Miller, or Eric Anderson, take you over
to meet your Congressman and/or Senators.
Please make sure you indicate your address in your notice, and include
your Congressmen's name. (If you don't know it, we will look it up based
on your address.) [You have two Senators and one Congressman for your
district.]
Please try to give us as much advance notice as possible to try to meet
your Congressmen. (No notice is required for the multi-organizational
office tour.)
For your convenience, we will also lay out an easy and fun tour for you
to take on your own, of the Capitol, Senate, and House office buildings
complete with directions to the "secret" Capitol complex subway, which
you can ride--AFTER you meet with your Congressmen! (First things first.
Be effective, then go have fun!)
It's going to be a great conference! We look forward to seeing you there!
